Barefoot Basics is a 3 day course running from 9 AM – 6 PM each day. This introductory course is designed to teach advanced massage therapists how to administer the ultimate barefoot effleurage application while using an over-head bar support system. Therapists will learn one footed strokes focusing on the posterior aspect of the body.
During your study with us, you will feel every single stroke from your instructor. You will have an opportunity to work on the instructor as well. On the final day, we provide a public clinic/practical for the ultimate in learning retention. Each therapist taking the class must feel comfortable standing on a massage table and have the flexibilty to stand up & down from a 24 inch stool quickly and easily from the floor. We do have suggested height and weight requirements for taking Barefoot Basics. Whether you are female or male, any therapist over 180 pounds should contact one of our certified instructors to discuss what is expected of your fitness level prior to registration sign up.
A deposit of $300 is needed to hold your spot in class (there are only 8 spots available). You will receive 25 credit hours, which you can apply to your National Certification, AMTA or ABMP renewal. Most states accept these Category A hours also.
Instructional video available for additional charge.
